This week, I finished my pie project photos which included buying all of the ingredients again (we left them all at home), baking the pie, molding the letters, buying a sim card and taking the photos. I edited the photos in class and added a green hue to make the photos more creepy. For observation, I drew some boxes that were in front of my in the art room.

This week I am going away to Michigan so I had to gather all of the materials I will need for my pie project and also whatever I need to fully plan out the completion of my hearts as soon I get home. I had to bring my camera and planning materials for the pie but I will have to buy more stuff to make the pie now that we´re here. I was trying to decide between doing a lattice or a full pie top but decided on lattice while looking at photos cause I wanted more of the red to shine through. Not only did I take photos of the anatomical heart in the Bio room, I also looked up for some more simple photos of the hearts for me to work from and then I drew one for observational drawing this week.
This weekend, I went out and bought everything I had to to bake the pie as well as a clean apron and oven mitts but never got the change to actually bake it because I was so busy. I´m not sure when I can do it before Thanksgiving Break and maybe then will be a good time to do it I just know I´ll already have so much going on but I will figure it out. I also did some visual research, I really like the red glow aesthetic. For observation I just dew a hand on my SAT book.
Concentration Statement Draft: Images of empowered women and an exploration of the societal predispositions surrounding women. This is in support of women taking their bodies back, their femininity back and taking themselves back.
This week, I finished my portrait of Marin. I spent 4 hours completing it on Sunday. I would argue that it is also my observation work because I was working on it from a photograph :) |
