The time for me to submit my college applications are coming up soon and very quick and one thing my mom wanted me to do was make a mood board for me to see my visions and dreams clearly. I did a lot of visual research for this and gathered photos of Berkeley and quotes that I thought would inspire me. I printed them out and on accident, I printed out some on the same page as a few prints I messed up. I really liked how some of them turned out, I only took a photo of two. I framed one as well.
My observational drawing is the photo of my girl for the memory project in art club.

This week I went to the Johnston two different times. I went once during the week to scope out places to take my senior photos and then on Saturday I actually took my photos there. All together I spent about 2 hours there this week. I got some senior photos in the projection area of the new exhibit we are going to see as a class. Both times I was there I tried to not look too hard at the exhibit because I knew we would be going there soon. I also didn´t know about the little garden outside which is where I took the few photos at the end.
This week, I was crazy busy so I did my observational drawing in class (shh). I actually did two, one was of my surroundings like the first few that I've completed but it ended up being really weird and I didn't like it half way through so I just did my water bottle which was right in front of me. I pinned some pieces in my Concentration: Women and my breadth boards. There was once piece a lot like the pins in the shape of a bra that Ms. Stratton showed me where it was thread like a corset through a woman's back. There were a few other images like this one and I found them very powerful.
This week i did some pinning not on pinterest but on weheartit which I've brought up before. Sometimes I feel like its easier to find art and inspiration on there so I use it periodically. I know I have a few ideas to move forward with pertaining to my concentration like expanding off of the pins and glittering someone (which Iḿ excited about) but I am lost beyond that. I know I have time but I wanted to get some visual inspiration to look back on when I finish the ideas I´ve started right now. I also took this really cute photo of Marin´s dog when I was house sitting. It´s not the best photo but its really cute so I wanted to share. If iḿ not taking photos of Marin I´m taking them of her dog. My observational drawing is just my feet and ankles on my bed on a napkin. I forgot to do it last week, I kinda missed doing sub par observational drawing on any type of medium I can find.
This weekend I went and saw some art by a Cornell student at Ithaca Bakery. I also did some visual research for the portrait project and even made a folder on Pinterest for it. I really liked the use of shadows and wanted to play with that possibly in my project this year. I didn't take my photos until later Monday but I wanted good shadows and lighting outside so it worked out well I think.
