Project: 2 hours
Sequin V : 1 hour Planning: 30 mins I started the body on the other girl and made her skin a lot brighter than the previous body to portray the gaining of power from the moon by adding a thin layer of white under the skin tones. This made me want to add additional brights to the shirt as well because it looks dull on her now. I also finished the hair on the first person. I also spent some time hot gluing more sequins on my large V that I started during Emily's birthday party in class. I don't know if I'll finish it like I intended to for Christmas. But this project sparked a new idea for my next project. So I started to plan a 2 part piece with sequin letters NO and photography in the background.

Sketchbook: 3.4 hours
I finished the shirts on both figures. I started working with colored pencil but I felt like to match the mood better I would work with oil pastels as I did with the moons. As I look at it now, I'm going to need to add more bright orange and reds on the second shirt to brighten it up and move with the concept more. I also finished the body of the first girl with colored pencil, however I ran into trouble on the chest and more obviously the front of the face. The medium I painted over the background must've overlapped the woman in those places because colored pencil would not pick up in those areas. I'm going to have to find a way to build up another medium because I tried for awhile with colored pencil already.
I finished the rest of my figure drawing painting which was due for Friday. I completed the figure which only needed some final touches on the body and the head/face. Then I added the shaows and paint splatters to the background.
Sketchbook 11/7: 3.5 hours This week, I continued to continue working on my figure drawing due this Friday. I added to the shoes like the laces, and kept building on the arms. I also spent some time after school taking photographs of Marin for my next project. I experimented with a bunch of poses. I tried her moving then posing quick for me to take a shot that displays more motion. In the same way, I had her move continuously and used the shutter filter to take actual movement photographs.
